Sometimes I wonder when I forgot how to play. I mean, I still do, but not like my kids do. I love their innocent whole-hearted playing. They get such enjoyment out of such small things. I love it.
Two days ago Erin wasn't feeling very well (her worst sick day so far). We went to the store to pick up a couple things, and when we got home I put on a movie for her to watch the end of (I skipped through half the movie) while I fed Patrick and put him down for his nap, getting ready for her to go down. After the end of the movie, I turned around telling her it was time for bed and found her like this:
Recently I found a pair of earrings at Target like the ones that I wore for my engagement pictures (and lost one of that day). I was so excited! Well, I don't really have any dangly earrings anymore (babies do that to you), so Erin was fascinate, and decided she wanted to try them. They were the hook kind, so I hooked them over the top of her ear.
And when did I forget why it was so fun to spin until you were so dizzy you fell over? Erin's in that stage now and it just cracks me up.
Patrick loves the camera and always wants to play with it.
He also sticks out his tongue ALL THE TIME. I think it's adorable.
And remember that ABCs Zoo game I posted a vid of Erin playing a while back? Well, it has an infant setting that goes through each letter in order any time any key is pressed. I let Patrick play today. I love watching him make that connection of "oh hey, if I do this...something happens!"
Apologies….
