Some pictures I thought I'd lost

So, I'm going through the last year of pictures, picking out pictures to put in Patrick's birthday video (can't believe it's already time for a video!!), and I came across a couple pictures I thought I'd lost.  You see...they were on the camera's memory for quite a while (which is why I didn't put them on the blog right away).  Then Matt finally transferred them to the memory card so I could put them on the computer.  In the process of transferring them to the computer, I accidentally deleted them.

Apparently we put them on the computer at some point though, because here they are:

A couple videos

So I went into Babies R Us today to see what sort of "first birthday" clothes they had, and they had a ride on Dumbo on the way in.  Erin was really excited, and naturally wanted to get on it.  I let her, knowing she wouldn't like it if I turned it on.  But she INSISTED.  I had a couple quarters, so I did.

And I was right.

So I put Patrick on it.

And after I put Erin down for a nap Patrick decided to take advantage of her toys.

The only problem...

...with deciding to blog every day is that when you've done nothing but laundry there isn't anything interesting to blog about.

But just so I don't leave you entirely without cuteness, Erin's favorite phrase today has been "It's pretty cool!"  Only she says "Iss pwee-yee coowuh!"

Our Excursion

The dictionary definition of "excursion" is "A usually short journey made for pleasure; an outing."  While our trip was actually fairly long for us, it was in reality just down the street and back.  Since it was such a beautiful day, I put both babies in the double stroller and decided to walk down to Target.

They were excited about the fresh air and the sun.

This is the only way I get into pictures these days.

Patrick was fascinated by the ground rolling by.

We got to see the pretty mountains

And the temple

It's a good thing they invented wireless bicycles.  You know how much I hate those wires on my bike (lol)

Erin insisted on getting out of the stroller and sitting on the ball.

And Patrick wanted to too

I must have looked like a dork taking pictures of my kids on the ball outside Target! =Þ

After buying a potato masher and some toddler plates, we were ready to go home.  Patrick passed out.

And Erin kept turning around to check on him.

And then it got a little windy and therefore a little chilly, so Erin got my jacket.  I was walking, so I was fine.

And now they're BOTH napping and I'm enjoying the quiet.  It was a good trip!

Climbing into things.

Patrick's new take on the put-in/take-out game is to put HIMSELF in and out of things.

And while I was taking pictures Erin started yelling "smayoo Baybee!"  And she kept trying to get in the pictures.

So I took one of her, after she told herself to smile. =p

Our new fishy friend.

I've been wanting to add a new fish to my aquarium for a while now.  Ever since the Jack Dempsys took out the last of my tetras so they could have the tank to themselves.  But we weren't sure if we'd be moving or not (we're not) and then we went out of town.

Well, today was the day.  I had to clean out the aquarium first, though, before I'd let myself.  Since I belong to the school of benevolent neglect when it comes to fish, it'd been a while since I'd cleaned it.

Here's before

here's after

Here's my big Jack Dempsy, I LOVE his coloring

and this is my new guy, a silvini cichlid.  In the aquarium at the store he had these pretty blue and red hues.  But it doesn't show much right now because of the stress of being bagged and such.  I know he looks very similar to the dempsys, but when his color shows he's very pretty.

Taking after Aunt Adrienne

So, for my 5th birthday I got a play shopping cart filled with toy food for my birthday.  Adrienne was nearly 11 months old at the time, and stole it to use as a walker.  I remember being so angry, but Mom made me let her use it so she could learn how to walk.

Well....

Yeah, it's 1:30 and they're still in jammies...so?

So we've had an arctic front come in and it's COLD again.  And our fireplace and sliding door make the front room rather chilly.  Instead of turning up the heat, I bundled myself up and left them in their warm jammies, since they're warmer than tshirts and pants.

And they were having fun chasing each other around my glider.
